I had not heard anything about this show beforehand, but I have been a long time fan of Childish Gambino/Donald Glover, so I decided to give it a try.
About a year ago, I watched the movie with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. That one did not age well. I remember it being a lot better than it actually was. It was very cheesy, and the acting was horrible.
This TV show is completely its own thing with a different tone. If you’re going into this expecting a high-tension action thriller, you’re going to be disappointed.
I definitely enjoyed it. The cinematography and color grading were great, the dialogue was witty and funny. I probably would not watch it again, but I am glad I did watch it.
